A fair has taken place in the Cotswold town of Stow-on-the-Wold since 1330, and over the centuries has evolved into what it is today, a meeting place for primarily gypsies and travellers to buy and sell their horses.
As well as a place for some serious business, it also provides members of the community to come together and meet up and exchange talk and gossip, and to enjoy the occasion of all been together.
The fair takes place each May and October just outside the market town in the Gloucestershire countryside. |
